Purpose¶

Changes have been made to better support the complex networks present in Australian schools. We have also made a number of refinements and updates to activities.

We have refined our build process so that we can easily churn out variants for individual schools/states. This allows us to present more tailored solutions and saves teachers the trouble of needing to enter settings to get their XOs working fully on their networks.

The time required to flash an XO is roughly halved (~7min vs ~14min), thanks to our use of sparse technology. The included firmware has been updated to q3a65 to allow for this.

This release is for XO-1.5 models only. It is included in XO-AU USB 3.

Known issues¶

The Network Proxy and Network Connections activities with launch with the loading screen still behind them (#595). This is harmless.

Collaboration is currently not functional with the Edit activity (#820)

Some applications that require Internet access (such as Dictionary) may be blocked by the proxy servers used on school networks.
